• 2023/07/20: 參觀香港城市大學神經科學系 Visit to Department of Neuroscience, Hong Kong City University

    香港 Brain Bee 腦神經科學大賽決賽入圍同學在香港城市大學神經科學系又一次寶貴學習體驗。城大神經科學系主任暨講座教授賀菊芳教授及研究團隊悉心與同學分享。 團隊運用神經基礎科學，融合電機工程、藥理、生理、心理和病理學建立研究模型, 並應用 cholecystokinin (CCK) 影響腦神經可塑性的特質，發展治療弱視、抑鬱、腦癇及阿爾茨海默症記憶障礙的有效藥物！從研究轉化到應用的過程什具趣味和啟發性。
    Three HK Brain Bee Finalist students had a precious learning experience in the Department of Neuroscience, Hong Kong City University. Led by Professor Jufang He (Head of Department and Chair Professor of Neuroscience), the research team presented to students various translational studies of neuroscience to address visual problems of amblyopia, depression, epilepsy and amnesia in Alzheimer’s disease. The research on cholecystokinin (CCK) has supported development of effective drugs for the conditions. The impression of the involved research processes has been interesting and enlightening.

  • 2023/07/19: 參觀羅桂祥綜合生物醫學大樓的中大神經科學設施

    香港Brain Bee腦神經科學大賽決賽入圍學生參觀了位於羅桂祥綜合生物醫學大樓的中大神經科學設施。 在容永豪教授、柯亞教授和 Romeo Goh 的帶領下，他們 學習了簡短的神經科學的歷史，以及參觀利用小鼠模型進行光遺傳學的應用。 Our HK Brain Bee Finalist students visited CUHK Neuroscience facilities at the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building. Led by Prof Yung Wing Ho, Prof Ke Ya and Romeo Goh, they were introduced a brief history of neuroscience, and applications of optogenetics using mouse models.

  • 2023/07/18: 參觀香港神經退行性疾病中心 (HKCeND)

    香港神經退行性疾病中心 (HKCeND) 精心安排之旅，對於我們的 香港Brain Bee腦神經科學大賽 決賽入圍學生來說，絕對是一次大開眼界的經歷。 該中心先進的設備以及全面的設置給他們留下了深刻的印象，該中心致力於阿爾茨海默氏病(Alzheimer’s disease)的早期診斷和尋找治療的研究。 The excellent tour to Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (HKCeND) is definitely an eye-opening experience for our HK Brain Bee Finalist students. They were totally impressed by the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities as well as the comprehensive setup of this centre that is dedicated for the research on early diagnosis in addition to finding treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
